IN MEMORIAM
Dr Woo was born in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and graduated from Medical School from National University of Singapore in 1977. He obtained his postgraduate degree in Medicine (Member of Royal College of Physicians, London, UK) in 1984 and thereafter he underwent his Cardiology training at the Department of Cardiology at Singapore General Hospital. He left for private practice in 1989 and established one of the most successful Cardiology clinic (Woo Medical & Cardiac Clinic) at Gleneagles Medical Centre Singapore.  Dr Woo was renowned as a Cardiologist who was full of compassion for his patients, and also for his great sense of humour and wit. He was a practicing Buddhist who always thought first for his patients’ welfare and during his private practice, he still found time to be a visiting Cardiologist to Ren Ci Hospital.  Other than his family and his patients, Dr Woo’s other great passion is for the arts, and in particular, he loved collecting carpets and paintings. Patients who visit his clinic have always enjoyed the numerous paintings adorning the walls which sometimes makes the clinic seem like a mini art gallery!

Sadly, Dr Woo passed away from leukaemia in August 2009, and his many patients still miss him greatly.
